When I became the Mt Monadnock District Activities Chairman, I was fascinated that there was no centralized eMail list. I took it upon myself to collect every eMail address I could find and created a mailing list. Not something you cut and paste in to the Bcc line of your eMail client, but a genuine eMail list. I just launched a new DowneastDistrict.org website. The site is Drupal based, which gives us an amazing flexibility. Some of the more interesting features: Advanced Content Management: The Downeast District website is powered by Drupal, a Content Management system. I disabled the monthly password reminder on my Scout mailing lists today. I used those lists for keeping people informed about all the District happenings. Since it looks like I probably won't be the Mt Monadnock Activities Chairman again anytime soon, at least not in the next 3 years, I decided I probably could disable the lists.
